NEW DVD RELEASES/ BLOCKBUSTER/ WATCHMEN
One stellar new dvd release for this week isWatchmen, starring Malin Akerman and Billy Crudup. The film was directed by Zack Snyder (300), and is brought to life by DC comics and Warner Bros pictures. The movie focuses on a number of superheroes in an alternate universe of the 1980's where the spector of nuclear war between the America and the USSR is prevalent. Watchmen is rated R.

NEW DVD RELEASES/ BLOCKBUSTER/ ACTION/ KNOWING
One of the more recent new dvd releases worth checking out is "Knowing", starring Nicolas Cage. His character is a father who discovers an encrypted message in a time capsule. The message details the dates, locations, and death tolls of not only past catastrophes, but three future events as well; one of which is apocolyptic. His race to prevent this is both fast-paced and filled with adrenaline that will keep you on edge until the very end. Knowing is rated PG-13 and is 121 minutes in lengh.

One captivating new dvd release is Yes Man, a comedy starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel. Carrey's character, Carl, attemps to solve his unhappiness by committing to saying yes to everything. At first his endeavor proves uplifting, but he is soon faced with a series of adventures and challenges stemming from his resolution. The DVD is rated PG-13.

Coming this week to Netflix is the highly anticipated new dvd release "Twilight". The movie is based on Stephenie Meyer's best selling novel and follows the adventure of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who relocates to a new town to live with her father. At her new school she meets and falls in love with Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Bella is faced with danger when Edward, a 108 year old vampire, and his family are challenged by a rival coven. The DVD is rated PG-13.

MOVIES/ NETFLIX/ NEW DVD RELEASES FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 17/ COMEDY
For those of you who are fans of the classics, one of the new dvd releases this week at Netflix is "The Three Stooges Collection: Vol. 5" which covers the years of 1946-1948. Although most of us were not around in that timeframe, the comedy which the collection covers is timeless. The adventures they encounter cover everything from the brewing business and a shipwreck to Scotland Yard and King Arthur's Court. The collection includes "Half-Wits Holiday", the final short of Curly Howard. It also has the initial appearance of Shemp Howard.
